With A Pleasant Thought
From With My Needle, the inspiration for this original sampler was the lovely verse first seen on Alice Parr’s sampler. (Alice used the long s, which looks like the modern day f when stitching her sampler. Today, many people find it difficult to read text written with the long s, so this has also been charted with more familiar letters for those who would like to use them instead.) Stitched on 32ct Light Mocha linen with a stitch count of 215 x 119 using Simply Wool threads from The Gentle Art (DMC substitutions are provided).
